The American Paddleboard measures 12' long by 22" wide. It is 4" thick at the midpoint. The deck is flat and the rocker is faired from tip to tail. The rails are flat with a slight chine at the top and bottom. Along the deck this chine prevents a sharp edge for smoother paddling. The chine along the bottom of the rail is more aesthetic than functional. A hard edge along the bottom rail would allow for a crisp break with the water line at planing speed, but rarely would paddling alone achieve such a rate. The 8" fin is glassed on using SS epoxy. The enire board is wrapped in 4oz. Warplite Fiberglass cloth and SS Epoxy Resin. Pressure release is provided by a 1/16" vent in the deck.
